Both Hearts Beat Like a Metronome: A WinterPrincess Love Story

After months and months of writer's block, I finally finished my WinterPrincess series, "Both Hearts Beat Like a Metronome". The last two chapters of Faith & Desire are finally done and posted. It's been a ride, and I've had a lot of fun writing this story. I'm glad to finally have finished it and given Shuri and Bucky the Happy Ending the deserve. I hope you guys have had as much fun with this as I have have. Thanks so much for reading!

Part One: Matches & Kerosene (2 chapters)

The White Wolf falls head over heels for the Princess of Wakanda, his Princess, though the implications of what they could be terrify him.

Part Two: Tongue-tied & White Lie Addicted (3 chapters)

The White Wolf and the Princess hide their love from everyone around them for as long as they can, but eventually, the real world comes crashing in.

Part Three: Little Talks (oneshot)

Shuri runs to Ramonda for comfort and advice, and finds out that the things a mother knows go beyond the obvious.

Part Four: Faith & Desire (10 chapters)

The White Wolf and the Princess fight to prove their love to those that matter most, while holding on to the hope of a happily ever after.

Part Five: A Fever You Can't Sweat Out (oneshot)

The Princess of Wakanda gets a bad case of baby fever and only the White Wolf can cure it.

fic updates

I had every intention of posting to this to tumblr, but decided to go ahead and archive lilithenaltum over there because it...just wasn't working anymore. It's a fresh start here on dreamwidth AND I don't have to worry about antis or the like, so that's wonderful.

Anyway, to the fic updates!

Undertow chapter 5 is half done. Working from the bottom up, per usual and then I find spurts of motivation here and yonder. But hopefully I can get the next part up before the new year.

Forelska, my Loki x self insert series sequel, is coming along as well. it's darker than the previous two installments and kind of personal. Scratch that: it's literally therapy in the form of fanfic. And speaking of therapy, well, I've written a nice little article over on lemonmag about that. You can find them online under lemonmag on instagram and also on tumblr still, too.

Parts of An Education chapter 3 are finished also, though it's been on the backburner admittedly. I get in moods where I want to write about one pairing for a while (cough-IronPrincess-cough) and have a hard time shifting to another pairing, even within the same universe. But every so often I get some spurts of muse going and update it when I can.

I lost motivation to finish Faith and Desire a while back, but with only two chapters and most of it done, I'm going to make it my business to finish it before New Years. Every blue moon I find myself getting back into the spirit, so I think I should be able to finish chapters 9 and 10. It may be awhile before I do more WinterPrincess stuff, though. My heart has been elsewhere for a while now.

Watch out for Xmas fics: they'll be late, of course, but they're coming.

I have so many ideas for sequels, prequels, and one shots to other fics I've finished. I've wanted to write a prequel for A Love in Prismacolor since I finished that fic, and probably will in the next year. A few people were interested in reading a sequel to my Halloween fic, Pray for Plagues, so I'm planning something for that too. And of course, Undertow (which has spiraled out of control) will have two sequels and several one shots and side stories.

For the Valki folks: no, I haven't forgotten the Shake Down the Stars sequel, Rend Apart the Heavens. I simply haven't been able to get the muse going to write it post Infinity War but I think I'll have some juice come Endgame, so hopefully I can actually find a place to begin replotting with that in April.

And there are a billion other things I want to write for RPF. My friend Kaylin is helping me with a MCU actors series that's going to be Hallmark channel sappy but HBO smutty, so that'll be fun. I may get back into writing on original fic too. I've got a few ideas that would be decent novels if I can find the courage to just do it. Shout out to AF Linley for encouraging me to do that. I'll dedicate my first book to you. <3

Fics and Psueds and Contact Info

I am on AO3 now under a new psued! Don't worry, my old one is still there (lilithenaltum) and will be regularly updated so long as I have fanfic ideas. But there's a new one intended for other fanfic. It's intended to focus on RPF works, which I have been working on behind the scenes on and off for months. My first posts will come within the next few weeks and I'll definitely cross post here and to pillowfort and wattpad. All my contact information there will be under the username, aphroditebreaks. And I also have an instagram where I will post moodboards and little tidbits about my fics there.

I'm also considering making a Pinterest for my fics; one for lilithenaltum (my fanfic) and one for aphroditebreaks (my rpf). I feel like interactive fiction is one of the cooler ways of getting feedback from readers and media consumers. When or if I do, I'll be sure to let everyone know.
